Art direction, poster, page in newspaper Concept and graphic design by Roosje Klap and Pauline Le Pape Typeface KNIF italic by Axel Pelletanche-Thévenart / Building Paris
We created this poster based on the parameters of the mystical and spiritual site of Stonehenge, which was conceived in a culture that had left no written records. Many aspects such as how it was built and which purposes it was used for, remain subject to debate. A number of myths surround these stones. The site, specifically the great trilithon, the encompassing horseshoe arrangement of the five central trilithons, the heel stone, and the embanked avenue, are aligned to the sunset of the winter solstice and the opposing sunrise of the summer solstice. This is an invitation to navigate into new found land, to discover the typeface 'Knif'. ARK was commissioned to design a poster for the launch of this special typeface called 'KNIF'.
