When we rotate our landscape to that of the of vertical portrait of the affiche, the opposing worlds become apparent; the sky and the ground, the nature and the human, the objective and the subjective, the left and the right. ‘Hell is other people’, Jean Paul Sartre wrote. Our poster is a product of this very analogy, in the contemporary light of a disruptive world.
We can ‘see’ the other in the rise in extreme violence and terror, the advancing power of artificial intelligence and in the distressing consequences of climate change. They all demand an alternative future for the planet, one of one-ness, a coexistence, as we take steps in establishing a bridge between humans and non-humans.
